Volunteer

The Club runs on the fuel of its members energy!  All of our interest groups and activities are possible because members volunteer their time to make the Club a constantly stimulating and rewarding experience.  And volunteers will tell you that they get much more in return - not only the satisfaction of giving back, but also the fun of meeting so many new friends!  You can sign up to volunteer on your membership profile when you join the club. Come join us today!

Here's a sampling of events and activities that you can volunteer for:

*All-Club monthly meeting:  bring food, help set up library, coordinate casual lunch after meeting at local spot.

*Host events at home:  potluck lunches, cocktail parties, special interest groups.

*September Kick-off lunch at River Bend Country Club:  Help Hospitality Committee coordinate this event.

*Spring Scholarship Fund Tea - help plan, set up and run our signature event, the Spring Tea in April.   Opportunities to help with securing sponsors, decorations, ticket sales/marketing and other tasks.  For more details visit the Scholarship Fund website at https://www.womensclubgfsf.org/

*Great Falls 4th of July Baby Parade:  The Club judges the Baby Parade and the hard part is that ALL the babies are adorable!

*Philanthropy: This dedicated group sponsors several events each year to benefit local charities.  You can help by either participating in the event or by helping the Philanthropy Committee put on events.

*May End-of-Year Luncheon: Help Hospitality Committee coordinate this event.

*Lead one of our Interest Groups, or better yet - start a new one!  See Interest Groups for a list of current groups.

*Cultural Tours:  Volunteer to help out with one or more trips, or better yet, give us new suggestions.  Trips in the past have included: tour and tea at the National Cathedral, Brunch and Tour of Salamander Resort and Spa in Middleburg, docent-led visit to the Library of Congress, trips to visit historic homes and gardens during Virginia Garden Week, and the ever-popular Wine Tour each fall.
